| Description | 450 h.p. diesel-electric standby generator for emergency use in case of power failure at the Fort Peck Dam. Electric power must be available at all times to operate the tunnel control gates at the Army Engineers' great reservoir on the Missouri River. This equipment is housed in a modern concrete building at the top of the east abutment of the dam near the gate shafts to the four tunnels. |
